will set off from Selva in Val Gardena.

of teams will launch the attack to break the three
The adrenaline is tangible now, everything is ready
for the twentieth edition of the Sellaronda Skimarathon
which will set off on Friday 20th March at 6 pm from
Selva di Val gardena. The 600 teams, that is 1200
competitors, will tackle the 42 kilomoters and more
than 2700 meters of vertical height gain to conquer
the four Dolomite passes, Gardena, Campolongo, Pordoi
Teams from all over Europe will reach Val Gardena,
as well as Italy, Austria , Germany, Switzerland,
Slovenia, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Slovakia
and Great Britain will be represented. Americans
and Canadians will also be present.
As was announced during the press conference, Oswald
Santin, coordinator of the Organizational Committee,
states that there are the prerequisites for breaking
the three hour barrier.
Last year Tadei Pivk and Pietro Lanfranchi crossed
Canazei's finishing line stopping the stopwatch at
3:06'14", this year Pivk will race with the
Spanish athlete Kilian Jornet Burgada, ski mountaineering
and sky running champion, while Lanfranchi, has just
confirmed his participation with the Swiss athlete
Another team which will give the Salomon-Crazy Idea
a hard time will be the one made up of Anton Palzer
(Team Dynafit) and by the Italian Damiano Lenzi (La
Anton Palzer is back racing after recovering from a
knee injury obtained during the World Champs at Verbier.
